How to use FixStik

1. Fill

Find the color that most closely matches the wood. If you don’t have an exact match, take two wax sticks and blend them — that’s why you have ten.

Drag the wax stick across the scratch, sideways, with firm pressure. Fill it well — a little too much wax is better than too little. The wax should settle into the scratch, not just over it.

Tip: If the scratch is deep enough to feel with your nail, go over it two to three times.

2. Scrape

Take the scraper and drag it over the area in a smooth motion. Keep it almost flat against the surface.

All excess wax will come off. What remains will stay down in the scratch—just where it should be. Scrape until the surface feels smooth when you run your finger over it.

Tip: Always scrape in the same direction as the wood grain. This will make the transition disappear.
